Talking Fussball Extra – Match Day 19 review and Match Day 20 preview

Matt Hermann rounds up BT Sport’s Archie Rhind-Tutt and the Bundesliga fanatic’s Niklas Wildhagen to take a closer look at all the action from mid-week and to look ahead to the next match day.

The boys get into several issues from match day 19: Were Hertha right to sack Jos Luhukay? What are the reasons behind Werder’s marvellous upswing in form under their new coach Viktor Skripnik? Should referees send Pep Guardiola to the stands when he strays too far from the code of conduct? For a fan’s view of the troubles at Borussia Dortmund, Sandra Goldschmidt joins Matt to talk about the atmosphere on the Südtribüne during BVB’s loss at home to Augsburg. In the last segment, we take a look ahead to match day 20, complete with another edition of our beloved Tippspiel.

Talking Fussball Extra – German Super Cup Review, Transfers & DFB Pokal Preview

Talking Fussball Extra – The Bundesliga Show is back for the new top-flight German season! Host Archie Rhind-Tutt and Bundesliga Fanatic senior editor Niklas Wildhagen talk about the season curtain raiser – the German Super Cup – and what it might mean for the season ahead. Borussia Dortmund picked up the trophy with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich. The goal scorers for BVB were Henrikh Mkhitaryarn and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the latter who broke out a Spiderman mask in celebration. The game was a comfortable win for Borussia, but the game threw up more questions for Bayern due to a cruciate ligament injury to Javi Martinez. How will FCB react in defensive areas to this news?

The pair also talk transfers and more specifically about former Arsenal striker Niklas Bendtner who has recently arrived at Wolfsburg.

To finish, Talking Fussball Extra explains the colour and atmosphere of the DFB Pokal (German Cup) 1st Round.

Talking Fussball Extra Episode 25 – DFB Pokal, Hamburg in Crisis and Matchday 21 Preview

The hot topic of the week is the ongoing crisis at Hamburg. To bring the situation up-to-date and to get the opinions of a man on the ground, Kicker’s HSV reporter – Sebastian Wolff – is on the show.

Hamburg were one of the clubs involved in the DFB Pokal Quarter Finals in midweek. The panel wrap up the results and give out all the details for the draw for the next round.

If all that wasn’t enough, the TFE crew preview the up-coming action for Bundesliga Matchday 21.
