Talking Fussball – 3 out of 4 Ain’t Bad: Bundesliga Champions League Review

The opening phase of the Champions League is done. In short, the Foals come in for a pounding, Marco Reus comes in for an ogling, and everybody else is somewhere in between. Expertly produced by Aidan Rantoul.

Talking Fussball – 2014 FIFA World Cup Round of 16

So…Germany was not exactly souverän in their round of 16 match against Algeria, but the 2-1 win still counts, and it sets up a quarterfinal meeting with France that has already set our mouths to watering. (Next course – snails!) In that spirit, Matt Hermann, Alex Handcock, and Jonathan Harding convened – and had a dynamite discussion. They dissected Joachim Löw’s persistence with a few unusual tactical ideas, got to the bottom of Per Mertesacker’s rage at the press after the Algeria match and even invited France 24’s Dan Levy (@DanLevy1) by to fill us in on the bleu side of the equation. As you’ll hear, there were a few technical issues in post-production, mostly relating to Jon’s audio. We did what we could, but his parts are kinda jacked, we have to admit. As he told us…he was trying to go “extra sultry.”

Talking Fussball – 2014 FIFA World Cup MD1

Germany got off to a flying start at the 2014 World Cup, and so too have the Talking Fussball: The Bundesliga Show boys. Matt Hermann rounds up Nik Wildhagen and Bernie Reeves to break down die Nationalmannschaft‘s big win over Portugal, as well as discuss the team’s prospects against the beaten (though very game) Ghana in the next match day in Group G.

The gang also take on the matter of a gentleman’s honour (w/r/t how much one can exaggerate after being clumsily fouled by Pepe), as well as share their tops and flops among Bundesliga players over the tournament’s first few days.

So get listening to Talking Fussball Extra’s World Cup Update!
